Journal Writing
I wanted to incorporate more writing into our classroom and I wanted it to be meaningful for the students. So, in centers, the students have been working on fun, open-ended journal prompts for the past two weeks. Each day they receive a new prompt. They have the choice to either write or independently read, but they MUST pick a least one journal a week to respond to.
Every two weeks they will be required to pick one of their journals and write a final draft to be passed in. The journal prompts will always be posted here each day on the website. I have attached the checklist and sample of what is needed for the final draft below. (WE WENT OVER THIS IN CLASS ON WEDNESDAY)
